RN - Perioperative Care Unit (PCU) 0.75 FTE/Evening
About The Position
Welcome to a medical center where you're the center of attention. We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse for our Perioperative Care Unit (PCU). This unit is responsible to prepare patients for surgical procedures. Patient populations include Cardio/Thoracic, Gynecology/Oncology, Bariatric, Orthopedics, Urology, Podiatry, Vascular, and General Surgery. This is a 0.75 FTE position, working 60 hours per biweekly pay period, with an 8 or 10-hour Evening shift. Days are variable, and the schedule includes 1 weekend day call shift every 8 weeks, and 1 summer holiday call shift and 1 winter holiday call shift required.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Registered Nursing required, BSN preferred.
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington. (May be a multi-State license from a Compact state or a Washington license.) required.
- Healthcare provider CPR Certification required.
- ACLS certification required.
- 5+ years recent acute care nursing experience required.
- RNs hired into units that require a competency in cardiac rhythm interpretation will be required to take a rhythm assessment in their first week. This will include standard cardiac rhythms, dysrhythmias and paced rhythms.
