About The Position

We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse for our Perioperative Care Unit (PCU). This unit is responsible for preparing patients for surgical procedures. Patient populations include Cardio/Thoracic, Gynecology/Oncology, Bariatric, Orthopedics, Urology, Podiatry, Vascular, and General Surgery. This is a 0.75 FTE position, requiring 60 hours biweekly, with 8 or 10-hour Evening shifts. Days are variable, with one weekend day call shift every 8 weeks, and one summer holiday call shift and one winter holiday call shift required.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Registered Nursing required.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington. (May be a multi-State license from a Compact state or a Washington license.)
• Healthcare provider CPR Certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• 5+ years recent acute care nursing experience required.
• RNs hired into units that require a competency in cardiac rhythm interpretation will be required to take a rhythm assessment in their first week. This will include standard cardiac rhythms, dysrhythmias and paced rhythms.

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred.
• Recent Pre-op/Phase II nursing experience strongly preferred.
