About The Position
Pacific Fertility is hiring a Casual Registered Nurse - Peri-Operative or PARR located at our Edmonton location. This is a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care during surgical and procedural interventions within a fertility clinic setting. This position requires a blend of clinical competence, attention to detail, and compassionate communication to support patients throughout their surgical experience.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of nursing experience
- Peri-operative or PARR experience
- Bachelor's degree in nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certificate.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in an women’s health or reproductive environment is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during OR procedures and ensure a safe, sterile, and efficient surgical environment.
- Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative nursing care.
- Adhere to and uphold all OR protocols, policies, and procedures in alignment with clinical standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain strict compliance with infection prevention and control measures.
- Participate in regular audits and quality improvement initiatives related to OR procedures and patient care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support seamless patient care and procedural outcomes.
- Demonstrate clinical competency in all patient interactions, maintaining sensitivity and professionalism throughout the care process.
