About The Position

Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) in Nashville, Tennessee, is seeking a Registered Nurse for Pediatric Sedation. This role is crucial in advancing health and wellness through patient care, education, and research. The nurse will apply the nursing process to plan and implement patient care, including education and continuum of care planning. They will effectively communicate patient and family information to the healthcare team, collaborate on patient goals, and evaluate progress. The position also emphasizes professional growth through continuous learning. This is an inpatient position located at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. The working hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with no weekends, holidays, or on-call duties. The role involves collaborating on the plan of care, coordinating and implementing care delivery, and analyzing patient information to determine nursing diagnoses. The nurse will continuously evaluate patient progress and apply interventions to ensure effective outcomes, while also employing strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Additional duties may be assigned.
