About The Position

The RN Pediatric Patient Navigator serves to help cancer patients navigate their journey and treatments. Daily assignments may include assisting patients with a variety of needs throughout their journey, collaborating with medical staff to coordinate outpatient care, and potentially functioning as a department representative for community outreach initiatives. This role also involves identifying community needs and prioritizing them based on current knowledge of treatment and screening options within the hospital’s reach.

Requirements

Bachelor Science, Nursing (BSN)
4 years of nursing experience
2 years serving in an Oncology setting, preferably a hospital
RN, registered with the Texas State Board of Nursing or eligible compact license
Able to work independently, exercise independent judgement, and prioritize workload
Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing; Ability to communicate with empathy and influence
Great organizational skills; Able to organize thoughts on paper, presentation, and communication
Visual and auditory acuity required
Occasional lifting of patients with assistance is required

Responsibilities
