Requirements
- Registered Nurse
- Pediatric Med-Surg experience
- Night shift availability
- ACLS protocol knowledge

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care with a focus on pediatric patients
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions; report changes promptly
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments per physician orders and hospital policy
- Develop and implement patient-centered care plans with families and care teams
- Delegate and supervise LPNs and CNAs to ensure high-quality care
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
- Communicate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Support admissions, discharges, procedures, and patient/family education
- Emergency duty may be required, including working in special needs or Red Cross shelters or responding to threats or actual disasters, man-made or natural.
- Supervises RNs, LPNs and CNAs and the provision of care to patients in accordance with policies, procedures and regulations (when acting as Charge Nurse).
- Follows ACLS protocol for patients as indicated (when acting as Charge Nurse).
- Assists the Nurse Manager – Med./Surg. 3rd Floor with order transcription and overall operation of the unit (when acting as Charge Nurse).
