About The Position

Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required; performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision. Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team. Responsible for maintaining the knowledge and abilities essential to the performance of stated behaviors. Carries out legal responsibilities within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act. Accountable to the NURSE SVC SUPV 2 for overall work performance.

Requirements

  • Two years of pediatric acute care inpatient registered nurse experience within the last 3 years
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
  • Current healthcare provider CPR certification
  • PALS certification

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of pediatric hematology/oncology inpatient experience within the last 5 years
  • APHON or ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Status
