About The Position
This position involves providing care in the PCU unit for adult patients with a variety of diagnoses including CHF, ARF, pneumonia, sepsis, and more. The RN will be responsible for direct and indirect patient care and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing
- Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing
- BLS
- ACLS
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in PCU or Telemetry
Responsibilities
- Cardiac and vasoactive drip titration
- Cardiac rhythm interpretation and IV starts
- Blood product administration and CIWA
- Drain/tube management and catheter insertion/management
- Insulin drips management and continuous bladder irrigation
- Effective verbal and written communication
