About The Position

The Registered Nurse Patient Navigator serves as a liaison for management staff, administration, physicians, managed care companies, community organizations, and other customers. The role coordinates treatment efforts and promotes quality improvement and education. It also compiles data, tracks outcomes, and recommends process improvements, while providing referrals and follow-up care support for patients who are uninsured or underinsured.

This full-time, day-schedule position is in the Clinical Admin-Neurology department at Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola in Pensacola, Florida.

Requirements

• Hold a Registered Nurse credential from the Florida Board of Nursing, obtained before the hire or job transfer date; be licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida, or hold a current home-state license recognized under the multistate Compact State arrangement before the hire or job transfer date.
• Have a diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing, or the required professional licensure at the time of hire.

Nice To Haves

• BLS Provider certification; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification is accepted.
