Registered Nurse - Pain - Per Diem
About The Position
This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Pain management, working on a Per Diem basis. The role involves independently providing safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for all patient populations on a specific unit. The nurse will utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care, including patients and families as appropriate. Responsibilities include maintaining regulatory compliance, assuming accountability for nursing care outcomes, making decisions based on the therapeutic relationship with the patient, and guiding unlicensed nursing personnel. Collaboration with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare team members is essential for optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
Requirements
- Graduate of a state approved school of nursing required.
- IL RN License
- CPR BLS issued by the American Heart Association
- Basic Computer Skills
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred.
- 6 mths RN experience in comparable role - Preferred
Responsibilities
- Independently provides safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for all patient populations on a specific unit.
- Utilizes the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care.
- Includes patient and family in the plan of care as appropriate.
- Maintains regulatory compliance in individual practice.
- Assumes the responsibility, accountability, and authority for outcomes of nursing care and to make decisions based on their therapeutic relationship with the patient.
- Guides and directs assigned unlicensed nursing personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care.
- Communicates and collaborates with nurses, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.
