About The Position

The Registered Nurse - Pain at Breckenridge Ambulatory Surgery Center is a full-time, dayshift position. The Ambulatory Surgery Center is a state-of-the-art freestanding outpatient surgery facility with 6 OR suites and 1 procedure room, specializing in urology, gynecology, plastic surgery, occuloplasty, general surgery, and pain management. The Registered Nurse is responsible for implementing the nursing process for patients of all ages, consistent with Kentucky Nursing Laws and organizational policies. This role promotes positive patient outcomes, delivers quality patient care, and initiates change through active involvement in shared governance councils, contributing to a healthy professional practice environment. National Professional Nursing Standards guide the nurse in utilizing critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills, exercising appropriate nursing judgment, and collaborating with the inter-professional team to enhance patient outcomes. The registered nurse also serves as a role model through continuous professional development and lifelong learning, utilizing the Nursing Process as the framework for providing care.

Requirements

• Active Kentucky License
• BCLS Required within 90 days of Hire
• Perioperative experience is required

• Previous Surgical Services Experience Preferred
