About The Position

Southwoods Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for their award-winning Pain & Spine Center. This part-time position offers a true work-life balance with a schedule of 25 hours per week, consisting of 3 weekdays from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The role focuses on specialized patient care, including assisting physicians with clinical procedures, managing pain pump patients, and coordinating pump refills. The nurse will also be responsible for patient communication, care coordination, and ensuring quality and safety compliance.

Requirements

Current Ohio RN license
AHA BLS certification
1+ years of direct patient care experience
Prior EMR experience
Strong multitasking abilities
A high degree of organizational flexibility

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in Nursing
3+ years of experience in a physician office or ambulatory setting

Responsibilities

Assist physicians with clinical procedures.
Manage the advanced care, monitoring, and education of pain pump patients.
Oversee the scheduling, pharmacy orders, secure chain of custody, and tracking for all pain pump refills.
Triage incoming clinical calls.
Explain diagnostic results per physician instructions.
Provide compassionate patient education.
Manage patient flow.
Schedule follow-ups.
Process prescription refills via EMR.
Compile necessary records for hospital procedures.
Perform point-of-care (POC) testing.
Complete environment of care (EOC) rounds.
Maintain strict compliance with OSHA, ODH, BOP, and TJC standards.
