About The Position

This role is for a Staff Nurse in the busy Pain Management Clinic, where the nurse will play an integral role in delivering exceptional, patient-centered care within a supportive nursing organization.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred). Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.
• 2 years of RN experience in pain management preferred.
• Certification in basic life support (BLS).
• Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Experience with electronic health records preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

• BSN (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the Medical Surgical unit, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients.
• Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families.
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records.
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
• Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC Brighton's nursing organization.
• Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects.
