About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Pain Management department at Ascension Via Christi in Manhattan, KS. The position is full-time, working days. The nurse will be responsible for implementing and monitoring patient care plans, recording and communicating patient conditions, coordinating care across disciplines, carrying out physician and nursing orders, and assessing patient discharge planning needs.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing required.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs
