About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the GI Pain Management Department at Texas Health Center for Diagnostics & Surgery is responsible for preparing patients, performing procedures, and managing patient recovery in a self-contained outpatient department. This role involves working with Endoscopy and Lithotripsy procedures in a fast-paced team environment, offering opportunities for cross-training and career development. The department operates Monday through Fridays, with no weekend or holiday work required.

Requirements

Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree of Nursing
1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse
RN – Registered Nurse upon hire
BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire
PALS – Pediatric Advance Life Support within 90 days of hire
CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days
A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree of Nursing
Experience in a procedural area (pre, procedure, recovery)
