About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at Texas Health Center for Diagnostics & Surgery. The role is PRN (as needed) and involves day shifts (7 AM - 7:30 PM), Monday through Friday. The PACU department offers the opportunity to work with a multi-disciplinary team, a diverse patient population, and cutting-edge medical technology. It emphasizes work-life balance, educational and professional growth, a strong Unit Based Council (UBC), and engaged leadership.

Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma in nursing or Associate’s degree in nursing or Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
  • 1 year of experience as registered nurse or completion of an RN residency.
  • Recent PACU or Critical Care experience strongly preferred.
  • RN – Registered Nurse upon hire.
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly upon hire.
  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days.
  • PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days.
  • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually within 90 days.
  • A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
