About The Position
The Registered Nurse in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) utilizes the nursing process to provide comprehensive patient care. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients and their families. The nurse maintains competency, contributes to professional development, integrates ethical practices and evidence-based research, and promotes a safe therapeutic environment. Responsibilities include timely and thorough documentation, guiding and supervising staff, and enhancing professional growth. The position is full-time, located in Chicago, with specific shift hours and call requirements.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- IL RN License
- CPR BLS through American Heart Association
- ACLS through American Heart Association
- PALS through American Heart Association within 3 mths of start
- Demonstrates mastery of nursing skills.
- Communicates effectively and if experienced RN, is able to guide and supervise nursing personnel.
- Reliable transportation for floating
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of experience as a staff nurse.

- Documentation is thoroughly and timely completed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
