About The Position
The experienced staff RN is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame. Provides care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the therapeutic environments, treatment and modalities and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Requirements
- Current California RN License.
- Current Basic Life Support Level C (Healthcare Provider) certification.
- Current ACLS and PALS certifications.
- Two years of PACU or critical care experience and/or approved PACU RN training course.
Responsibilities
- Perform initial physiological and psychosocial needs assessment on all patients within 30 minutes of admission and shift assessment within 2 (two) hours if coming on duty.
- Collaborate in the formulation of the overall plan of care for the patient, as evidenced by written documentation.
- Identifies needs and problems specific to biophysical, cognitive, developmental, emotional, socio-cultural, and spiritual assessments.
