About The Position
The PACU RN provides comprehensive post-anesthesia care across Phase I and Phase II recovery, including pre-op and recovery support in an acute care hospital setting.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year PACU experience
- Active California RN License
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Experience with EPIC EMR
- Ability to work in high-acuity, fast-paced settings
- Willingness to float and work on-call shifts
Nice To Haves
- ICU or ED experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Monitor patients during Phase I and Phase II recovery
- Provide pre-op and post-op nursing care and education
- Manage airway, ventilation, and respiratory status
- Administer medications including sedation and emergency drugs
- Perform pain assessment and management
- Collaborate with surgical and interdisciplinary teams
- Assist with discharge planning and instructions
- Document all care in EPIC EMR
- Float across PACU, pre-op, and recovery units
