About The Position

The PACU Department at Texas Health Plano is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a PRN/Days position. Texas Health Plano is a 386-bed, full-service hospital serving North Texas, specializing in emergency medicine and trauma, cardiology, neurosurgery and spine, advanced orthopedics, women’s services, adult and adolescent behavioral health, an adult intensive care unit, and technologically advanced surgical services. It is a Level II Trauma Facility, the only healthcare facility in Collin County with Level IV NICU and Level IV Maternal facility designations, and has a DNV-certified Comprehensive Stroke Program. Texas Health Plano is a four-time Magnet-designated hospital, has the only AACN Beacon Gold adult intensive care unit in the DFW area, is accredited by the Joint Commission in Hip and Knee Replacement, and is a Primary Heart Attack Center. Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma in Nursing or Associate’s degree in nursing or Bachelor’s degree in nursing
  • 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse
  • RN – Registered Nurse upon hire
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly upon hire
  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire
  • PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days of hire
  • A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year plus of recent ER/ICU/PACU experience
