About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – PACU to provide high-quality post-anesthesia and post-operative patient care. The ideal candidate will have strong Medical-Surgical experience, IV insertion skills, phlebotomy expertise, and conscious sedation experience in an acute care setting.

Requirements

• Active New York State RN License
• Current AHA BLS Certification
• Current ACLS Certification
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) required
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Minimum 2 years of IV insertion experience
• Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience
• Minimum 2 years of conscious sedation experience
• Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills

• BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients recovering from anesthesia
• Provide post-operative nursing care and patient monitoring
• Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy procedures
• Administer and monitor conscious sedation
• Assess patient responses and intervene appropriately
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
• Document patient assessments and interventions accurately
• Maintain patient safety and regulatory compliance
• Educate patients and families regarding recovery and discharge care
• Respond effectively to emergencies and changes in patient condition
