Join a collaborative Pediatric Rheumatology team dedicated to providing ongoing care for children with chronic rheumatologic conditions. This full-time RN position works four 10-hour shifts (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 7:30 AM–5:30 PM) with no weekends or holidays required. Based at the IU Health Administrative Offices (1120 W. Michigan Street, CL200/Gatch Hall, Indianapolis), the role primarily supports outpatient clinics at Riley Outpatient Center and may include occasional clinic coverage at IU North in Carmel. Responsibilities include partnering with providers to implement treatment plans, educating patients and families, coordinating follow-up care, managing medications, and conducting dedicated phone triage. Nurses have the opportunity to build meaningful, long-term relationships with patients and families while supporting continuity of care. After the orientation period, RNs may work remotely one day per week. Pediatric experience is preferred.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of RN experience
  • Associates of Nursing (ASN)
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
  • Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program (exceptions may apply with >2 years of experience, subject to CNO approval)
  • Basic Life Support certification through the AHA
  • Awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors of Nursing (BSN)
  • Pediatric experience
  • Ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction
  • Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies
