We are seeking a RN to join our Community Medicine Neurology clinic located at 13100 E 136th Street, Suite 3300, Fishers, IN 46037. The role is primarily onsite; however, after completing training, the RN may work remotely one day per week.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year of RN experience
- An Associates of Nursing (ASN)
- An active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
- Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program (Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of relevant clinical experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).)
- Basic Life Support certification through the AHA
- May require ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction
- Awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse
Nice To Haves
- Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies
Responsibilities
- Triaging incoming phone calls and portal messages
- Managing patient symptoms
- Handling prescription requests
- Processing forms
- Providing general clinical support for multiple providers
- Assisting with training medical assistants
- Managing nurse visit schedules for injections and blood pressure checks
- Educating patients on self-administering medications at home
