This RN role, located at 355 W 16th St., Suite 5100, Indianapolis, supports a busy functional neurosurgery clinic comprised of 3 functional neurosurgeons and 1 APP. The nurse will work Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with the potential to flex hours alongside other triage nurses once established in the role. No weekends, holidays, or travel are required. Primary responsibilities include managing patient calls and messages, preparing for clinic sessions, providing patient education, supporting pre‑ and post‑operative care, and conducting nurse visits. After an initial 3–6‑month onsite onboarding period, the role transitions to a hybrid schedule. As part of the functional team, the RN will play a meaningful role in caring for patients with movement disorders, contributing to innovative and impactful patient care. While not required, prior experience or understanding of functional neurology is a bonus. Triage RN position in Adult Neurosurgery clinic located in Neuroscience Center downtown Indianapolis. Core Office Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Potential for hybrid hours after training working from home 1-2 days per week. No weekends! No holidays! No call!

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of RN experience
  • Basic Life Support certification through the AHA
  • Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
  • Associates of Nursing (ASN)
  • Knowledge of procedures for performing the functions appropriate to the specific clinical area and familiarity with designated pieces of equipment and supplies
  • Ability to coordinate a number of functions for a group of patients in an effective timely manner
  • Awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Two years experience in an ambulatory setting preferred
  • Prior experience or understanding of functional neurology is a bonus
