Requirements

Current North Carolina or compact state RN license
Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of hire
One year of healthcare experience required
Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to work on-call as needed

Responsibilities

Provides direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
Performs focused patient assessments and reassessments, including pain management
Administers medications safely and accurately following best practices
Assists physicians with procedures and performs treatments within scope of practice
Communicates effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team
Educates patients and families on disease processes and care plans
Ensures patient safety and proper use of equipment
