Join IU Health Pediatric Cardiology in Fort Wayne as an experienced RN supporting two cardiologists in a collaborative outpatient setting. Responsibilities include clinic support, telephone triage, medication refills, prior authorizations, and referral coordination. This full-time position works Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with no weekends, holidays, or travel required. Located at 415 E. Cook Road, Suite 300, Fort Wayne, IN, the role offers a hybrid work arrangement after training.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of RN experience
  • Associates of Nursing (ASN)
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
  • Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program (Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of relevant clinical experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).)
  • Basic Life Support certification through the AHA
  • Awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Cardiology experience is preferred but not required
  • Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies
  • May require ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction
