About The Position

This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating educational activities for an assigned service or population, specifically focusing on outpatient diabetes education. The Registered Nurse will collaborate with nurse managers and staff to identify learning needs and competencies, develop and evaluate educational plans and programs, and serve as a resource for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development. Participation in the coordination and continuity of orientation programs, including preceptor programs, is also a key aspect of this position.

Requirements

Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Nice To Haves

Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Certified Educator specializing in Diabetes Management preferred.
CDCES not required, but preferred
Knowledge of Diabetes, treatments, complications, etc.
