About The Position
This position is 100% FTE, Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, and will be located at UW Health Swedish American Hospital. The role involves providing education related to diabetes management.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Dietetics or related field from an accredited facility.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure from the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation or Registered by the Commission of Dietetic Registration the credentialing agency for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetic and currently licensed in the State of Illinois.
- BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Certification as a diabetes educator with experience in education preferred. If not currently certified, will obtain Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) certification after accumulating the required 1000 contact hours to sit for the exam.
