About The Position

Responsible for all activities requiring assessment, planning, diagnosing, evaluating judgement, problem solving, creating and implementing plan of care. Administration of prescribed medications in accordance with policies and procedures of Community Memorial Hospital. Use critical thinking skills within the principles of the nursing process and to maintain appropriate written documentation to reflect the accuracy of care. The use of effective oral, written and nonverbal communications skills to ensure proper care is provided and that the care team is aware of the patient care plan. To provide appropriate education to patients and families to promote health, facilitate rehabilitation and maintain wellness. To serve as patient/family advocate. Responsible and accountable for individual nursing practice and to determine the appropriate delegation of tasks consistent with the nurses obligation to provide optimum patient care. To cooperate and collaborate with all members of the health care team. Provide professional judgement and knowledge of role, as well as rules and regulations that govern nursing practice. To apply ethical principles in caring for the patient and serving the family. To carry out duties and responsibilities per legal requirement under their Scope of Practice. Actively lead a culture of safe care per the Vision and Values of Community Memorial Hospital All other duties and responsibilities as designated by the Practice Manager.
