About The Position
This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Orthopedic Medical Surgical Telemetry unit at Skokie Hospital. The role is full-time, working a night shift from 7pm to 7:30am, with rotating weekends. The nurse will independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care, utilizing the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Responsibilities include guiding unlicensed assistive personnel, collaborating with the healthcare team for optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care, and contributing to safety outcomes and a high-quality patient experience.
Requirements
- Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
- Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required
- BLS/CPR Certification for the Healthcare Provider required
Nice To Haves
- BSN strongly preferred
- Prior nursing or if new graduate nurse, CNA experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on a specific unit
- Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
- Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
- Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
- Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience
