Registered Nurse or LPN (Overnight FT)

Freedom Detox – Overnight RN & LPN As an overnight nurse, you'll play a critical role in providing safe, high-quality medical care and support to adults receiving detoxification services. We're looking for clinicians with a strong bedside manner, exceptional professionalism, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to remain calm while effectively de-escalating challenging situations. Requirements
- Current, unrestricted North Carolina RN license.
- Current, unrestricted North Carolina LPN license.
- Current CPR/BLS and First Aid certification.
- Outstanding bedside manner with a compassionate, client-centered approach to care.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport.
- Professionalism, integrity, and sound clinical judgment in all interactions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to de-escalate crisis situations while maintaining a calm, therapeutic environment.
- Strong critical thinking, assessment, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Commitment to delivering safe, ethical, and evidence-based nursing care.
- Working knowledge of federal and state regulations, medication administration standards, and clinical documentation requirements.
- Dedication to maintaining client confidentiality, professional boundaries, and high-quality patient care.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in behavioral health, detoxification, addiction treatment, or substance use services is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Conduct nursing assessments and monitor clients throughout the overnight shift.
- Administer medications safely, accurately, and in accordance with physician orders.
- Monitor and manage withdrawal symptoms using established detoxification protocols.
- Complete COWS and CIWA assessments per clinical protocol.
- Educate clients on medications, treatment plans, and the recovery process.
- Coordinate with on-call medical providers regarding client assessments, medication needs, and changes in condition.
- Respond appropriately to medical and behavioral health emergencies using sound clinical judgment.
- Utilize strong de-escalation techniques to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for clients and staff.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough clinical documentation.
- Ensure medical equipment and supplies are maintained and functioning properly.
- Complete all required trainings, certifications, and continuing education requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
