About The Position
Beacon Specialized Living, a national leader in behavioral health services, is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team. This role offers a rewarding career focused on improving the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, severe mental illness, and complex medical needs. LPNs will also be considered, though pay and sign-on bonus will differ. Beacon provides residential-based services and supports to children and adults with these complex needs.
Requirements
- Active RN license
- 2+ years of nursing experience preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Passion for providing compassionate, high-quality care
- Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee medical care for individuals with diverse healthcare needs
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as ordered
- Complete assessments and monitor ongoing health concerns
- Educate and support Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) on medical care and equipment
- Collaborate with physicians, psychiatrists, and interdisciplinary teams
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and best practices
- Participate in quality improvement, infection prevention, and medical training initiatives
