About The Position

Sentara RMH is hiring a full-time registered nurse for the main operating room (general surgery). Our operating room nurses primarily circulate the 14 operating rooms and 2 procedure rooms as the non-sterile person to complete charting or gather equipment if needed. Nurses are also dual trained to scrub in and assist surgery teams as needed. This is a day shift position with moderate – heavy call requirement. Sign on bonus up to $15,000 - no contract required!

Requirements

• Associates or Bachelor's Degree - Nursing (Required)
• Registered Nurse (Required)

Responsibilities

• Performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process.
• Assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation.
• Adhering to standards of professional performance including ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health.
• Possessing clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
• Circulating the 14 operating rooms and 2 procedure rooms as the non-sterile person to complete charting or gather equipment if needed.
• Dual training to scrub in and assist surgery teams as needed.
