About The Position

Indiana University Health is seeking passionate and experienced nurses to join their Surgical Services team at Bloomington Hospital. This unit features 14 operating rooms and 2 open heart rooms, performing a variety of procedures including cardiovascular, gynecological, orthopedic, laparoscopic, and DaVinci surgeries. Nurses new to the OR will have the opportunity to learn scrubbing, expanding their career within the OR. The ideal candidate is a team player, self-motivated, and desires to work in a positive, collaborative atmosphere for the betterment of the entire team.

Requirements

An Associates of Nursing (ASN) is required.
An active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license is required.
Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program is required.
Basic Life Support certification through the AHA is required.
Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience (subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer).
Must be able to respond to on-call notice and be at the Bloomington facility within 30-minutes.

Nice To Haves

Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
Experience as a Circulator RN.

Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
