About The Position

Sentara is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital's Operating Room, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. A sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 is offered for qualified candidates. The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice and professional performance encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.

Requirements

• RN Degree REQUIRED
• Virginia or Compact State RN license in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required within 90-days of hire

Nice To Haves

• Prior RN or Operating Room experience PREFERRED

Responsibilities

• Perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process.
• Assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation.
• Adhere to standards of professional performance including ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice/nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health.
• Utilize clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
