About The Position

Sentara is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital's Operating Room, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. A sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 is offered for qualified candidates. This is a full-time, day shift position (7a-3p or 7a-7p) with call responsibilities. The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, and evaluation. The RN also adheres to standards of professional performance such as ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice/nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.

Requirements

• RN Degree REQUIRED
• Virginia or Compact State RN license in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required within 90-days of hire

Nice To Haves

• Prior RN or Operating Room experience PREFERRED
