About The Position

Baptist Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for our Surgical Services unit. This is a PRN Day shift opportunity located at Baptist South. This role requires call with a 40-minute response time and qualifies for competitive call and differential pay. As a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, you will work closely with physicians and all operating room teams. This Registered Nurse will check-in and receive patient assignments. A day in the life of this Operating Room Registered Nurse will vary based on scheduled surgeries. This RN may work with a singular patient in a complex case or may work with multiple patients having shorter procedures. This RN will work as a Circulating Nurse and will meet patients in the OR and remain with them for the duration of their procedure to ensure they are appropriately cared for until transferred to PACU care. As a Registered Nurse Circulator, you will be the patient’s primary advocate and responsible for the delivery and documentation of patient care during the intra-operative period. This may include verifying patient information, positioning the patient, managing the room, and initiating counts.

Requirements

  • Associate of Science in Nursing Required
  • 2-3 years Surgical Services Experience
  • 2-3 years Critical Care Nursing Education
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Licensed Registered Nurse Required

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing Preferred
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
  • Conscious Sedation Certification Preferred
  • Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) Preferred
  • Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) Preferred
