About The Position

This Registered Nurse role within UVA Health’s Outpatient Surgery Centers allows you to practice in an OR environment while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. As a Registered Nurse in UVA Health’s Outpatient Surgery Centers, you will provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care across a variety of surgical specialties in a focused outpatient environment. This role balances efficiency with clinical rigor and allows nurses to deliver high-quality care in settings intentionally designed for safety, flow, and patient experience.

Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited nursing program, Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
  • 1 year of nursing experience.
  • Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver perioperative nursing care including preoperative preparation, intraoperative support, and postoperative recovery
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, surgical technologists, and fellow nurses to ensure safe and seamless procedures
