About The Position

UVA Health Surgical Care Riverside, formerly known as Monticello Community Surgery Center, is a modern ambulatory surgery center in Charlottesville, VA, with four operating rooms and one procedure room. They offer same-day, low-impact procedures in specialties including Orthopedics, Plastic Surgery, ENT, Ophthalmology, Urology, and Gynecologic Surgery. The center is committed to a high-quality, patient-centered experience in a supportive environment, with a dedicated team providing exceptional care in an outpatient setting. This role is for an Operating Room RN with scrub and circulating experience, which is strongly preferred. For those without this experience, completion of the Periop 101 training program is required, with limited enrollment offered 3-4 times per year. The position emphasizes expanding knowledge and skills, providing effective direct care to complex patients, seeking and providing feedback, and taking on a beginning leadership role with mentoring. Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited nursing program
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
  • 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
  • Operating Room RNs with both scrub and circulating experience strongly preferred.
  • For candidates without OR scrub/circulating experience, completion of our Periop 101 training program will be required.
