The patient population includes adults undergoing surgical services in Thoracic, General, Hepatobiliary, GYN, Urology, Plastics, Orthopedics, ENT, Dental, OMFS, and Abdominal Transplant (Liver, Kidney, Pancreas, Intestine and Multi-visceral). There is a large oncology patient population. The unit has 23 beds and fosters a multi-disciplinary environment to provide highly skilled care to a high acuity patient population. Nursing skills gained include circulating and scrubbing, with training on the daVinci XI robot.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of OR RN experience with Charge Nurse responsibilities
• Current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse
• Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program (exceptions may be made for candidates with more than two years of acute care experience, subject to CNO approval)
• Basic Life Support certification through the AHA
• Associates of Nursing (ASN)

Nice To Haves

• OR Experience Preferred
• Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
