About The Position

This role involves delivering professional nursing care in the operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures. The nurse will perform scrub functions, including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies, as well as circulating functions, which include monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition, and managing overall nursing care before, during, and after procedures. Additionally, the nurse will directly assist the operating physician with surgical tasks such as hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning. Preparation of operating rooms, surgical instruments, and equipment is also a key part of the role.

Requirements

Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire.
Previous OR Experience is required
