About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room experience and be proficient in both scrubbing and circulating. Experience with a variety of surgical specialties including Orthopedics, Bariatrics, General Surgery, and Plastics is required. Flexibility with holiday scheduling is essential, including the requirement to work two major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s Day) and one minor holiday (day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve).

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room experience
AHA BLS certification
AHA ACLS certification
Experience with scrubbing
Experience with circulating
Experience with Orthopedics
Experience with Bariatrics
Experience with General Surgery
Experience with Plastics
Must be flexible with holiday scheduling
Must work 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s Day)
Must work 1 minor holiday (day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve)
No local candidates within 50 miles

Responsibilities

Perform scrubbing duties during surgical procedures.
Circulate during surgical procedures.
Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room setting.
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
Maintain a sterile environment.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Monitor patient vital signs and condition.
Document patient care activities accurately and timely.
Participate in patient and family education.
Be flexible with holiday scheduling, including working two major holidays and one minor holiday.
