Registered Nurse - Operating Room - Full Time, Days
About The Position
IU Health is seeking Registered Nurses for their Operating Room. They offer a supportive and collaborative work environment with opportunities for professional growth and development. The O.R. Fellowship Program is designed for recent graduates to learn scrubbing and circulating, while experienced nurses will undergo bi-weekly orientations. The role involves working with a diverse patient population across various surgical specialties, including Level 1 Trauma, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Cardiovascular, General Surgery, and more. The unit is Magnet recognized and features 29 ORs, including hybrid and IMRIS capabilities. The team culture is active and engaged, with interdisciplinary teams focused on process improvement.
Requirements
- Associate of Nursing (ASN)
- Current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse
- Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program (exceptions may apply for candidates with over two years of acute care experience, subject to CNO approval)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the AHA
- Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty
