Cancer Care Northwest/Inner Pacific Alliance for Cancer Care is seeking a Full-time Registered Nurse - 32 hours per week. The radiation oncology staff nurse is responsible and accountable for the nursing care provided to an assigned caseload of patients treated with radiation therapy in the radiation therapy department. The radiation oncology nurse is responsible for the direct and indirect nursing care of patients in the radiation oncology department. The ability to retrieve, communicate or otherwise present information in a written, auditory or visual fashion is essential. The radiation oncology nurse is responsible for patient education, physical assessment, nutrition counseling and assisting physicians with exams and procedures. Participates in companywide quality initiatives. Supports and adheres to the Cancer Care Northwest Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education
- Current RN state license with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state
- Current BCLS certification
- Current ACLS certification (role specific)
- Experience and knowledge of the purpose and use of medications in the treatment of cancer
- Maintain continuing education requirements

- Current or pending Oncology Certification preferred
