About The Position
The Registered Nurse - Oncology position at Swedish Hospital Cancer Center in Chicago, IL is a full-time role requiring 40 hours per week. The nurse will independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for patients in the Kellogg Cancer Center. This involves utilizing the nursing process for planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans, administering chemotherapy, medications, and blood products, and guiding unlicensed assistive personnel. The role also includes collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and a high-quality patient experience, contributing positively to safety outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree Nursing, required
- Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure, required
- Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or American Red Cross, required
Nice To Haves
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Card and Oncology Certified Nurse preferred
- 1 year professional Chemotherapy Infusion experience or care of the Hematology/Oncology patient preferred
Responsibilities
- Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for patients in the Kellogg Cancer Center
