About The Position
This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Radiation Oncology department at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, TN. The position is part-time and operates on a day shift schedule. The nurse will be responsible for implementing and monitoring patient care plans, recording and communicating patient conditions, coordinating care across disciplines, executing clinical orders and treatment plans, and assessing discharge planning needs.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor patient care plans.
- Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Execute clinical orders and treatment plans, utilizing professional judgment to translate directives into high-quality outcomes.
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
