Registered Nurse - Oncology (Nursing)
About The Position
The Registered Nurse - Oncology works in an outpatient cancer center treating approximately 35–40 patients per day with radiation therapy. The clinic provides IMRT, SBRT, SRS, and TBI irradiation. The schedule is 7 a.m.–5 p.m., varies, Monday through Friday. Local candidates within 50 miles are not being considered. The nurse must work two of the three major holidays—Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day—and one minor holiday: the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve. Required compliance materials are due by the Wednesday before a Monday start. A badge photo is required.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of recent experience in the specialty of radiation therapy.
- AHA BLS certification.
- Chemo certification.
- Cerner experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in an outpatient oncology clinic treating 35–40 patients per day with radiation therapy.
