About The Position

UW Medical Center - Montlake is hiring experienced Oncology Registered Nurses (RN) to join their team. Opportunities are available on various inpatient units including Medical Oncology/Blood & Marrow Transplant (7NE), Medical-Surgical Oncology (7SE), Medical Oncology/Acute Leukemia (8SA), and Blood & Marrow Transplant (8NE/Fred Hutch Cancer Center Hospital). This is a 90% FTE (36-hour per week) position. Oncology RNs may work a day/night rotation, evening/night rotation, or straight nights depending on the unit.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of current or recent Oncology experience
• Active license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington required by start date
• Active BLS Certification

Responsibilities

• Screen patients for oncology treatment
• Place IVs, and initiate, assess and observe patients during infusion
• Provide procedural support
• Document all activities in the Electronic Medical Record
• Provide care management education for patients and their families

Benefits

• BSN (or higher degree) Premium - $1.00/hour
• Certification (Specialty Certs) Premium - $1.25/hour
• Night Shift Premium - $5.00/hour
• Evening Shift Premium - $3.00/hour
• Weekend Shift Premium - $4.00/hour
• Sunday Night Premium - $3.00/hour
• Overtime Pay
