About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Oncology department at Dell Seton Medical Center in Austin, TX. The position is full-time and operates on a day shift schedule. The nurse will be responsible for guided care execution, proactive monitoring of patients, collaborative practice with physicians and nurses, clinical competency development through transition-to-practice programs, and person-centered advocacy to deliver safe, high-quality, and empathetic care.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.

Nice To Haves

Certification specializing in Chemotherapy preferred.
1 year experience preferred

Responsibilities

Implement, monitor, and document evidence-based patient care plans under structured guidance.
Record and communicate critical shifts in patient conditions directly to the supervising Registered Nurse and care team.
Input and execute physician and nursing orders under the direct supervision of an RN preceptor.
Actively engage in transition-to-practice programs to rapidly refine critical thinking and clinical judgment.
Deliver safe, high-quality, and empathetic care tailored to individual patient needs.
