This position guides new employees, researchers, volunteers, residents, students, and other Health Care Workers (HCWs) through the preplacement and annual screening process. It assists with access issues, information collection, and data management, ensuring consistent adherence to applied biosafety laboratory, infection control, and EHS/OIC standards. The role provides medical surveillance for occupationally based exposures, coordinating and collaborating with other departments, the Medical Director, and source patients to develop and implement appropriate treatment plans for employee patients. Additionally, it coordinates a comprehensive immunization program for employees and provides employee orientation and education related to occupational illness and injury.
